Jared is a New York City based actor who hails from the great state of Maine. He was born and raised in the town of Waterville where he began taking an active interest in the arts. After performing “Riff” in West Side Story, his junior year of HS, Jared was bitten by the theatre bug and knew that he wanted to spend his life in the theatre.
After graduating High School, he was accepted at Syracuse University where he studied Music Theatre at the School of Visual and Performing Arts. Jared enjoyed his time at SU and performed in several productions including BARE, Steel Pier, and Les Liaisons Dangereuses (Syracuse Stage). In the spring of 2009, he had the opportunity to study in New York City at the Tepper Semester. Arielle Tepper, a prominent Broadway Producer and alum of SU, created a semester in NYC for students to be immersed in the theatre scene and to put to use professional practices of “The Biz.” The semester proved to be invaluable to Jared and was fortunate to study with renown teachers such as Daisy Prince, Tom Kitt, Adam Guettel, James Calleri, David Caparelliotis, and Louis Colliani, to name a few.
After graduating in the spring of 2009 with honors, Jared made a smooth transition into city life and booked his first job, Altar Boyz National Tour. Since that time, Jared has performed in theatrical productions, films and commercials throughout the city, country and world. He is a proud member of Actors Equity and is represented by Ingrid French of IFM and Stacye Mayer of Paradigm’s Commercial Department.
Here’s an in-depth interview with Jared discussing career, life and “keeping everything in balance.”
